I have a pleasure to present the ”Statistical Yearbook of Pomorskie Voivodship”. This is the twenty-fifth edition of the study which addresses comprehensively the most important data regarding the living standards and conditions of the population, the economic situation and the natural environment of Pomorskie Voivodship.

The publication contains a rich set of information grouped into 21 thematic chapters. The review tables contain selected data on the Voivodship against the countrywide background in 2023 and major information about the Voivodship in 2000, 2010, 2015 and 2023. The statistical material has been supplemented with general notes and notes to the chapters explaining the terminology, methodology and scope of information.

The current edition of the Yearbook has enlarged the scope of data presented based on the Delimitation of Rural Areas (DRA) developed by Statistics Poland. The aim of the Delimitation of Rural Areas is both to ensure a uniform presentation of the results of official statistics surveys concerning rural areas and to emphasise their diversity. We also provide preliminary data on the area of agricultural land, farms, fertilisers, tractors, and labour inputs derived from integrated farm statistics. Additionally, for the first time, data on childcare for children under the age of 3 have been presented based on administrative data sources.
