The Statistical Office in Gdańsk presents the “Report on the socio-economic situation of Pomorskie Voivodship 2025”. The publication highlights the processes occurring in the economy of the Voivodship and addresses phenomena crucial to the socio-economic development of the region.

The study consists of analytical commentaries supplemented with detailed tables for the Voivodship as well as maps and graphs presenting selected characteristics, phenomena and observed trends. The analysed data are mostly presented dynamically from 2015 onwards, as well as in comparison to national averages and aggregates for other voivodships. Additionally, the report features cross-section tables illustrating the level of the phenomenon in the Voivodship against the whole country, as well as the tables presenting data for Gdańsk and other Voivodship’s cities with powiat status. Basic methodological explanations are included in the analytical text.

This year’s edition of the publication includes, for the first time in the form of an Annex, selected information about the Areas of Strategic Intervention (ASI), defined in the National Strategy for Regional Development 2030 as areas (gminas) at risk of permanent marginalisation and cities losing their socio-economic functions, for which special development support instruments are in place. A wide range of data for functional areas (including ASIs) is also available in the dedicated module “Functional Areas” in the Local Data Bank (at https://bdl.stat.gov.pl/bdl/obszary) and in the publication of Statistics Poland “Regional Development in Poland – Analytical Report 2024”.
