The publication consists of analytical commentaries supplemented with detailed tables for the Voivodship as well as maps and graphs presenting selected characteristics, phenomena and observed trends. Additionally, cross-sectional tables have been included illustrating the level of the phenomenon in the Voivodship against the country, as well as tables for Gdańsk and other cities with powiat status in the Voivodship. Basic methodological explanations are included in the analytical text.

The data included in the Report refer to 2025 or the most recent year available. In order to illustrate changes over time, selected topics are presented in a multi-year retrospective. For most areas, the analysis covers the period since 2015. Selected data are compared with national averages and other voivodships.

Compared with the previous edition, the publication has been expanded to include data on wages and salaries for October 2024, based on the results of the biennial survey on the structure of wages and salaries by occupations. New in this edition are also data on the innovative activity of enterprises in 2022–2024 and information on EU-funded projects implemented under the Partnership Agreement 2021–2027.

For the second time, selected information on the Areas of Strategic Intervention (ASI) has been included as an Annex. These areas are defined in the National Strategy for Regional Development 2030 as areas (gminas) at risk of permanent marginalisation and cities losing their socio-economic functions, for which special development support instruments are available. This year’s edition of the Annex has been supplemented with analytical commentary.
