Basic indicators covering socioeconomic situation of the voivodship, among others: labour market and earnings, prices, finance, agriculture, industry and construction, trade, maritime economy and public safety.

The study consists of analytical commentaries supplemented with detailed tables for the Voivodship as well as maps and graphs presenting selected features, phenomena and trends. Additionally, there are cross-section tables illustrating the level of the phenomenon in the Voivodship against the whole country, as well as the tables showing Gdańsk and other Voivodship’s cities with powiat status.

The publications data regarding the number and structure of the national economy entities entered in the National Official Business Register (REGON) at the end of 2021, against the respective data as of the end of 2020.

The study illustrates in tabular format the changes that took place in the lives of the citizens of Gdynia in 2016-2020 in the scope of demography, environmental protection, labour market, education, transport and maritime economy, municipal infrastructure, city finance and budget, as well as in public safety and foreign cooperation, etc. Selected information has also been presented in comparison with other cities and Pomorskie Voivodship.

The volume consists of executive summary outlining the main features of maritime economy in Pomorskie Voivodship, statistical tables as well as general and methodological notes. The tables have been grouped in eight thematic chapters describing: entities, employed persons and wages and salaries in maritime economy; capital expenditures and fixed assets in maritime economy; seaports; maritime and coastal shipping; production of sea vessels; fishing economy; state of the environment and sea waters protection, as well as maritime education. The methodological notes explain thematic scope of the presented material and principles of grouping. They also include definitions of applied notions.

The analytical part includes a description of the most important issues characterising the situation on the labour market in Pomorskie Voivodship. The notes present the survey methods, source and scope of data, and basic definitions. Graphic presentations complement the study. Tables, which constitute its substantial part, contain selected information for the years 2019 and 2020 and by sex, place of residence, sectors and ownership forms, PKD 2007 sections, and occupational groups.
