The publication contains data on schools offering primary education, lower secondary and upper secondary, including special, vocational and artistic schooling. The data regarding pre-primary education, schools for children and youth, as well as schools for adults, listed according to governing authorities and form of education, have been described separately. Moreover, the publication includes the information on selected forms of child and youth care.
The elaboration comprises the methodological notes describing the structure of education system and definitions of basic terminology, the review enriched with graphic presentation of selected phenomena concerning education, as well as the statistical tables grouped in nine thematic chapters.
