The volume consists of executive summary outlining the main features of maritime economy in Pomorskie Voivodship, statistical tables as well as general and methodological notes. The tables have been grouped in eight thematic chapters describing: entities, employed persons and wages and salaries in maritime economy; capital expenditures and fixed assets in maritime economy; seaports; maritime and coastal shipping; production of sea vessels; fishing economy; state of the environment and sea waters protection, as well as maritime education. The methodological notes explain thematic scope of the presented material and principles of grouping. They also include definitions of applied notions.

The study illustrates in tabular format the changes that took place in the lives of the citizens of Gdynia in 2016-2020 in the scope of demography, environmental protection, labour market, education, transport and maritime economy, municipal infrastructure, city finance and budget, as well as in public safety and foreign cooperation, etc. Selected information has also been presented in comparison with other cities and Pomorskie Voivodship.

The current edition of the Yearbook is a sequel designed in a new format. The publication contains a rich set of information describing the living standard of the population and the economy of the Voivodship. Detailed statistical data are grouped into 21 thematic chapters. Two review tables complement the publication, containing the most important data on the Voivodship in 2000, 2010, 2015 and 2020 and selected information about the Voivodship against the countrywide background in 2020. The statistical material was supplemented with general notes explaining the terminology, methodology and scope of information.
