The publication Environmental protection in Pomorskie Voivodship in 2011-2015 is a continuation of earlier papers on this subject issued by the Statistical Office in Gdańsk. The study contains a number of data needed to assess the state of the environment in the Voivodship, i.a. information on natural conditions and issues related to protection of land, water and air. The presented data have been mainly drawn from the surveys and reports of the Central Statistical Offi ce. Moreover, in order to more fully present the issues of environmental protection, the data from departmental reporting as well as from institutions operating in Pomorskie Voivodship were used.

The Statistical Offi ce in Gdańsk presents a successive edition of its regular yearly publication – Pomorskie Voivodship – Subregions, Powiats, Gminas. The elaboration is rich in statistical information characterizing socio-economic situation and the condition of environment in the Voivodship by subregions, powiats and gminas. The elaboration makes a valuable supplement to the content of the simultaneously issued Yearbook. The presentation of statistical data grouped in 16 thematic chapters is preceded by general notes which explain the applied definitions and notions in brief – their more detailed version can be found in the Statistical Yearbook of Pomorskie Voivodship 2016.

The Statistical Offi ce in Gdańsk presents a successive edition of The Statistical Yearbook of the Pomorskie Voivodship. The publication comprises a wide range of statistical information characterizing the social and economic situation, as well as the condition of the natural environment in the voivodship. Statistical data are grouped in 23 thematic chapters. They are preceded by general notes (including detailed explanation of methodology and scope of the study) and the review tables.
