Summary:
The Statistical Office in Gdansk presents the seventh edition of the Statistical Yearbook of Gdansk The former one was published in 2003. The period since the date has been marked with dynamic changes in both social and economic spheres of the city life, which is mirrored and illustrated by statistical information presented in the Yearbook.

The thematic range, layout and from o presenting data in particular chapters of the Yearbook corrspond to editorial solutions used in the statistical publications of this kind, as well as those applied in The Statistical Yearbook of Gdansk 2003.

We would like to draw your attention to the new subjects comprised in the present issue:

• resuilts of self-government elections in 2006,
• Gdańsk,s membership in gminas associations,
• Gdańsk's partner towns,
• selected projecs co-financed from the UE resources,
• the lastet population projection (unttil 2030),
• equipping schools with computers.
