The study encompasses issues concerning research and development activity, innovation activity of enterprises in industry and service sector, protection of industrial property and patent statistics as well as human resources for science and technology in Pomorskie Voivodship.
The statistical research conducted by the Central Statistical Office in the scope of the discussed issues is based on international methodological guidelines worked out by OECD and Eurostat. Apart from the CSO resources, the data of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland are presented.
The statistical data have been grouped in 5 thematic chapters and shown in different crosssections, depending on the subject. The publication consists of methodological notes comprising definitions of basic concepts and indicators, the survey results – synthesis, where a description of the most important issues can be found, and a tabular part. All is supplemented with graphic display of selected phenomena and relations.
